Community car hire scheme

There are a huge number of multiple-car houses in the Pemberton area, with on-street parking becoming an issue when navigating down roads (and presenting dangers for pedestrians).

A community car scheme, similar to those run in other areas, where local residents can register and borrow a car for various lengths of time would help reduce the emissions, pollution and pedestrian danger. It could also be a great introduction to electric vehicles.

Pemberton has a number of large public spaces where the scheme could be situated, such as opposite Lidl (where new taxi chargers have been fitted). Additional fitting of public charge points here could also help!
