Thank you for your response to the consultation which has now finished. These comments and others allowed us to finalise our proposals which have been submitted for Planning consideration. Subject to Planning approval, during construction, the contractor will be required to follow the “Code for Considerate Construction” – this code relates to a number of principles that contractors are required to follow. This includes respecting the community through minimising the impact of noise and disruption by adhering to set working hours and delivery times, considerate parking and work on the public highway.

I live on the bus lane side of Scot Lane, I wrote to my MP a while ago (not received any reply 😞) with regards to the trouble that I and most of my neighbours are having due to the amount of traffic on our side of the road (there are vehicles parked on the other side of the road so they don't get the passing traffic) I myself have had to have a new front garden wall due to cracks appearing causing loose bricks, also a new roof due to loose slates and the mortar needs replacing at the front of the house as every time any heavy vehicles pass, my house shakes. My elderly neighbour at the end of my terrace had to have his house re-pointed as the mortar had come loose due to all the shaking. All of these things had to be done at great expense to us as insurance companies don't cover it. Please please please can you make sure that the construction traffic does not come past my house as I struggled to pay for the repairs and cannot afford to pay for any more.
