Why is car usage still deemed bad? The role of the council should be to encourage sustainable travel methods but primarily they should be providing the neceessary services and infrastructre so people can live and work the way yhrey want to.. Why is a major focus of this bicycles when such a small percentage of the population will ever use a bike. THere should eb aq major focus on promoting the use of Electric cars and investing in the infrastructure to support them..... Lets Lead rather that follow.

we need to focus of 1/3 car access, 1/3 pedestrian, and 1/3 cyclists. reduction of lanes on spinning jenny way and possibly redeveloping spinning jenny car park into a mixed use development. also providing alternative bus routes to high interest areas such as an alternative route to bolton/x582 service and a return of the x34 (now x35) to alleviate pressure from both the v1 and the 35.
