In some places, the foot path has all but disappeared whilst in other places, in wet weather the footpath turns to thick mud and is almost impassable.

This route would be ideal for upgrading to a shared footpath for pedestrians, disability scooters, wheelchairs and cycles. Start at the dog training club and continue through to Alexandra Park and connect up with the new cycle paths on Warrington Road, Newtown. At the same time reinstate and upgrade the footpath which runs from the top park gates on Victoria Street and goes under the railway bridge through to Stephens Way.
