School walking buses

Angela Colquitt•3 years ago I know some parents would love their children to walk to school, but struggle to fit it in with work commitments or other reasons, so they end up going in the car. Helping organise 'school walking buses' may help address this and in turn take cars off the road during school run hours.

Cargo bike hire scheme or trial days

Angela Colquitt•3 years ago I like to walk, but find I reach for the car on supermarket runs, or when I need to get my kids somewhere! A cargo bike hire scheme (especially if electric cargo bikes), that are suitable for transporting your children or lots of stuff, would help address this problem. Or alternatively the council could provide events where people can try e-cargo bikes out?
