Phase two - 12th March Workshop

On 12th March 2024 at Wigan and Leigh College (Leigh Campus), We held an engagement workshop inviting members from the community, voluntary, faith and social enterprise sector, alongside service providers. The event involved seven conversation areas to identify:

• inequalities in the borough, and their causes
• strengths and opportunities
• solutions and resources
• partnership approaches

The conversation areas were Health and wellbeing, Education and social mobility, Employment and social mobility, Transport, Access to public services, Housing, and Community Safety and Environment.

We are currently collating the insight gathered in these sessions with the input from the survey and community group discussions.

We will update this page soon, to summarise ‘what was said’.
