Wigan Borough All Age Carers Strategy Workshop

On Monday 14th October we welcomed carers, their loved ones and our partners from health and community organisations to join Wigan Borough Carers Strategy Workshop.

This took place at St Peter's Pavilion, Hindley from 12.30-4 pm.

92 people attended the workshop to share their views, experiences and opinions to help shape the strategy. The event involved several conversations around:

•Health and Wellbeing

•Communication, information and advice

•Support offered to carers-across the community

•Carer Voice- being recognised, feeling heard and valued

• Training, employment and financial independence.

We are gathering insights into what was shared at this event and with further input from our survey and community groups discussions this will help shape the strategy.

Thank you to everyone who attended the event.
