At cabinet on 25/10/25, councillors approved a recommendation for Bethell Group PLC to complete improvement works at Civic Square.
Work is set to begin at the end of October, meaning that residents can expect to see visible progress in the coming weeks. The project is part of the Local Regeneration Fund for Leigh town centre, after Wigan Council successfully secured £11.4m from central government.
