Pride in our neighbourhoods
People are proud of their local communities across Wigan Borough so we are delighted to have received Government funding to help make them even better places to live and enjoy.

Share your ideas and thoughts
The areas of Beech Hill and Ince are two of the areas to have been allocated £500,000 as part of the Pride in Place Impact Fund. This fund has been created to deliver quick, visible improvements that build local pride and strengthen communities. If you have an idea that the fund could be used for to improve Beech Hill or Ince please let us know and help shape your local area!

Investing in places and spaces
The funding is 'capital funding' for one-off investments. This could include creating or improving community buildings, improving local parks, play areas, sports facilities or enhancing the look and feel of local streets.
The funding can be used for community spaces, public spaces and high streets. The funding can’t be used for everyday running costs or for services the council provides, such as pothole repairs, cleaning streets or staff wages.
